Dell Latitude 7370 does not bootable USB-stick

I ordered a Dell Latitude 7370 without any OS, in order to use a rebootable USB with Linux.Mint 22 on it.
I did that with three older Win-computers.
There is one Thunderbold -connection on the laptop, where I put the USB-stick in.
When starting it, it does not see the USB-stick at all.
I changed the boot-order, without success.

( My knowledge is very basic, but usually I am getting “there”

Hello,

Here is what you can try:

  1. make sure that the bootable USB is correctly created. Test it on some hardware that you know boots properly from USB
  2. Are you saying the there is not regular USB 3.0 slot? Please have a look and try USB 3.0 instead of USB-C
  3. disable the secure boot
  4. set in BIOS UEFI Only or change to Legacy boot
  5. try another USB stick…

Hope this helps
