thank you, I followed the tutorial as described. But how do I center the icons on the dash, as they appear on your snapshots?

It’s the extend-height false setting. If it’s set to true then it will take up all of the available space on the display depending on if your dock is positioned on the side or bottom. Setting it to false means it will only take up the space that the app icons need.
