The objective of this article is to provide reader with instructions on how to install LaTeX on Ubuntu 18.04. texlive-recommended does not exist.
correct is texlive-generic-recommended or texlive-latex-recommended.
try apt search texlive* and you will see all available packages. :slight_smile:

Thanks for the article. I first installed texlive which was missing many packages I needed. Installing texlive-latex-extra solved my problem.
