I did this yesterday and it works perfectly right out the box.
Install Wine 4 stable
Note, you might have to remove your previous version of WIne. Use synaptic package manager for this.
Install Lutris, then install WOW thru lutris. No glitches at all.
Linux Mint 18.3 Cinnamon 3.6.7
Running 100FPS now.
