Mint and GNOME desktop won't start/run - ARM architecture

I have successfully installed Ubuntu 20.4 in Windows 11, and it does run. I tried adding Mint following some instructions from another source. I think a number of files were loaded onto the tablet (MS PRO 11 ARM), but I cannot get it to run.

I then saw LinuxConfig had posted a how-to article on Edge a few days ago and followed the instructions. I had to change your ubuntu-desktop to gnome-desktop and a large number of files were downloaded.

And this one will not start. What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

Is it possible that your Mint installation image is incompatible with your architecture? Make sure that the versions of Linux Mint you are installing are built for ARM architecture. Not all Linux distributions have ARM-compatible builds, and this could be a reason why it’s not booting.

From what I gather Linux Mint doesn’t officially provide ARM architecture images.

Thanks for the response. I shall try to resolve the issue by checking a distribution pedigree.
