Terminal customization has become a fairly big hobby for Linux users. There are plenty of ways to spice up the Linux terminal and make it look modern and visually appealing. It’s not just for appearances either. A well thought out color scheme can help reduce eye strain and make working in the terminal a much more enjoyable experience.

I have always found the black background with green lettering the easiest to read and easiest on the eyes.
That combination also works well for me. So, of course, none ot the schemes shown above uses that combination.
You should still be able to pick the text color and background separately. I did before I figured out they had a scheme for it
