I’ve tried with both Mint and KDE Neon. I did the installation process, but after restarting, booting fails. I tried reinstalling and from that I saw that the installation was indeed there.
I’m on a Toshiba Satellite
I googled for hours, and tried many things. I tried disabling secure boot, but there is no such option in my BIOS setup (Phoenix Secure core Tiano Setup). I tried some command lines on the terminal, only error messages.
I really don’t know what’s going on
It is crucial that, every time you seek help, to provide information for people to know where you are and how they can help you. Suggestions:
- Which Toshiba Satellite series/model?
- Which Mint/Neon variants/versions?
- How did you install?
- What did you do to boot from the installed OS?
- What erros did you see?
- Which commands did you try and which were they outputs (from the best you noted or remember)?
When we see general info as “something failed”, the best we can say is “maybe this or that”, but it’s a guess. Get used to detailed questions.
My guesses: incompatibility between computer and OS or some wrong computer setup.
Best regards,
Emerson
