How to Install an RPM package on RHEL 8 Linux - LinuxConfig.org

There are a few different ways that you can install an RPM package on RHEL 8. They each have their own merits, but DNF should probably be your first choice in most situations. It's also good to remember that, for stability's sake, it's a good idea to limit your external RPM installs as much as possible.

Hello,
You refer to epel-release-latest-8.noarch.rpm in the article which is not yet available. Do you know when it’s gonna be available?

Hi Clas,

Welcome to our forums.

On the Fedora wiki page the release date is marked as 2019.10.01. which has changed recently from 2019.06.01. From that sign I would say the work is actively in progress, but still a long way until completion.
