Using a combination of the youtube-dl script and FFMPEG, you can easily rip audio from YouTube videos and instantly convert it to MP3, OGG, or any other audio format that you prefer for your music library.

This no longer works. Youtube has closed the pipes. The youtube-dl now throws errors each time. Any one know of any other solution?

i followed the guide and i got one problem: youtube-dl no longer works here (latest manjaro).
so i installed yt-dlp, which worked perfectly. the rest as described in the short and nice guide here.

ripped the audio of 4 songs and converted them to mp3 - awesome!
