Funny you just wrote this article some days ago as I just moved from Mac to Manjaro and I was looking for that right now. Thank you

Yet, you forgot to mention that xfce4-screenshooter as a bunch of parameters you can use, and it is setup in Keyboard => Application Shortcuts.

In my case, I changed from the default to that when I press print screen, it activates the region capture, and send the result right to the clipboard. Perfectly fitting my need.
