Installation of Memtest+ RAM memory test tool on Redhat 7 Linux - LinuxConfig.org

Installation of Memtest+ RAM memory test tool on Redhat 7 Linux Memtest is a quite handy tool when troubleshooting hardware problem and specifically problems related to Random Access Memory (RAM). After installation the memtest+ tool will become available among other boot options.

As easy as 0 1 2, thank you.

Nice article, but it the tool does not work for EFI booted systems.

ERROR: memtest86+ does not support EFI platforms

Hi Jan_Gerrit_Kootstra,

Welcome to our forums.

You got a point there, sadly memtest86+ can’t be run on UEFI, and from what I gather, it does not seem to be any real progress to make that happen. There is a memtest86 release that does support UEFI systems, which has a free and pro version, but none of them are open source.
