Lenovo thinkbook g16 support Linux installation or not.
One customer review says-Linux users must avoid, no bios support for us. Customer care says Linux won’t be compatible. Does every laptop support Linux?
Some may and some may not. I have an HP laptop that won’t accept Ubuntu or Mint due to it having an NVMe SSD in some weird intel RAID configuration, Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) . I haven’t tried other releases. I tried multiple things to disable the controller but, ultimately, the BIOS didn’t offer the ability to switch to AHCI mode.
Others running Nvidia video controllers may require additional drivers and work to get them operating properly. My Asus Vivobook installed and runs great without any headaches.
Lenovo Thinkbooks must be avoided (instead, prefer Thinkpads):
